Freestyle Youth Camp 2018

During the Easter holidays we took 40 young people away on our annual residential, Freestyle Youth Camp. This is our 12th year running Freestyle, which is 4 days of fun, games, meaningful sessions and adventurous activities for young people from Leatherhead and Bookham. The young people get the opportunity to try new things and make new friends, and for many this is a crucial time to have a holiday and really enjoy themselves. This year we had 18 volunteers from the local community leading the week, and 9 of these volunteers were ex service users who have been to freestyle themselves as young people and are now taking the opportunity to give back, many taking a week off work to serve local young people. What a great legacy. One of our volunteers even met his fiancé at Freestyle 6 years ago when you was a young person himself. LYP creating change and building relationships!

How you can help to create change

Your donation will go straight into helping us run projects for local young people.  For example...

£20 covers a 5-a-day healthy eating session

£50 covers a Girls Group session for 50 girls

£100 pays for 6 One to One counselling sessions

We are recruiting for volunteers now! Volunteers help us deliver almost everything we do.

You will need to be able to relate to young people, build positive relationships with them and buy into our teamwork approach.  Please contact us for a role description and to talk more about this if you are interested.
