LYP featured on BBC Surrey for Children in Need!

We’re really pleased to unveil a new feature from BBC Surrey which highlights our grant from BBC Children in Need. The video showcases the BFree Youth Cafe project, which we are very grateful to currently receive funding for from Children in Need. BFree opens 5 days a week as a drop-in centre for young people aged 11-17 in Leatherhead, and also offers extra mentoring and group projects to support young people in a way that responds to local needs. You can view the video by clicking here:

The audio from this piece was also played on BBC Surrey Radio several times during Children in Need week.

We’re very proud of our young people for taking part in the video and communicating why they come to BFree. We’re also incredibly grateful to BBC Children in Need for the enormously generous 3 year funding we receive for the project.

How you can help to create change

Your donation will go straight into helping us run projects for local young people.  For example...

£20 covers a 5-a-day healthy eating session

£50 covers a Girls Group session for 50 girls

£100 pays for 6 One to One counselling sessions

We are recruiting for volunteers now! Volunteers help us deliver almost everything we do.

You will need to be able to relate to young people, build positive relationships with them and buy into our teamwork approach.  Please contact us for a role description and to talk more about this if you are interested.
