We’re really pleased to unveil a new feature from BBC Surrey which highlights our grant from BBC Children in Need. The video showcases the BFree Youth Cafe project, which we are very grateful to currently receive funding for from Children in Need. BFree opens 5 days a week as a drop-in centre for young people aged 11-17 in Leatherhead, and also offers extra mentoring and group projects to support young people in a way that responds to local needs. You can view the video by clicking here: https://www.facebook.com/BBCSurrey/videos/10155453108690412/
The audio from this piece was also played on BBC Surrey Radio several times during Children in Need week.
We’re very proud of our young people for taking part in the video and communicating why they come to BFree. We’re also incredibly grateful to BBC Children in Need for the enormously generous 3 year funding we receive for the project.
Your donation will go straight into helping us run projects for local young people.
An example of how your donation will help...
£20 covers a 5-A-Day healthy eating session at BFree.
£50 covers our football equipment for a term of Total Football.
£100 pays for 6 one-to-one sessions between a youth worker and young person.
We are always looking for volunteers who can help us with the work we do.
Suitable volunteers will need to be able to relate young people and build positive relationships with them. Please contact us for a role description and to talk more about this if you are interested in volunteering.Get in touch
We always welcome help with fundraising.
We have previously benefitted from individuals completing sponsored events on our behalf, such as Runs and Triathlons. If you would like to raise funds for us, please contact us to discuss this further.Learn More
