Business partnerships

LYP has a great history of working with local businesses to strengthen our work and support local young people. We are particularly thankful to Exxonmobil and Wates who have supported us with funding LYP and Allsaints Coffee Shop.

There are many ways in which your business can get involved with
LYP, including:

– Making a donation to a project we run.

– Providing volunteers to our projects.

– Running ‘Team’ days with LYP, by helping to decorate our premises or
maintaining our allotment.

– Helping create or find apprenticeship opportunities for local young people.

Please contact us if you would like to find out more.

£70 covers one month of activity costs at BFree Youth Cafe, benefitting 100 young people each month.

£100 pays for 6 one-to-one sessions between a youth worker and young person.

Fundraise for us

We always welcome help with fundraising. We have previously benefitted from individuals completing sponsored events on our behalf, such as Runs and Triathlons. We love hearing of creative ideas for raising money so please let us know if you have an idea.

Volunteer your time

We are always looking for volunteers who can help us with the work we do with local young people.

Current opportunities:

BFree Youth Café – We are looking for volunteers to help staff BFree Youth Cafe one afternoon each week from 3:15pm-6:15pm. Suitable volunteers will need to be able to relate to young people and build positive relationships with them. Volunteers will be subject to DBS checks and references, and will be given Safeguarding Training annually.

Total Football – Total Football is a friday night football league for young people aged 11-16. We need volunteers to help us referee the 6-a-side games (no experience or qualification necessary!) and to set up equipment. Total Football won the High Sheriff of Surrey Youth Project of the Year in 2014, and a National Crimebeat Commendation in 2015.

Please contact us for a role description and to talk more about this if you are interested in volunteering.
